PubMed and PubMed Central are both free resources for accessing biomedical and life sciences literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM). The NLM collaborates with publishers, scholarly societies, research funders, other content providers, and international organizations to preserve journal articles, research material, and other historical literature.
Content must be submitted in the proper XML format for frictionless deposits into the system. PubMed and PubMed Central both require XML but the requirements differ and are often confusing.
Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL) specializes in the conversion and submission of documents to PubMed Central. Join Devorah Ashlem and David Turner as they discuss the intricacies of the XML specification as well as the social benefits of preserving this content. In this DCL Learning Series webinar, we invite you to pitch any question you have regarding PubMed, PubMed Central, Medline, conversion to proper XML specification, and more. Devorah and David will spend time answering any question you ask.
