Panelists will explore networking in-office, remotely, at professional events, via participation in professional organizations, and online via social media.

Rebecca Benner, Managing Editor, American Society of Anesthesiologists
Rebecca Benner has more than 20 years of experience in STM journal publishing. As the current Senior Managing Editor of Anesthesiology (flagship journal of the American Society of Anesthesiologists), she is responsible for the planning and implementation of journal editorial strategies and editorial operations. Rebecca is a member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s Early Career Subcommittee, and her professional interests include publishing standards and trends; the evolution of language and usage; and diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in scholarly publishing and beyond.

Taylor Walker, Associate Publisher, Wolters Kluwer
Taylor Walker started her career in scholarly publishing in 2018 as a Publishing Associate and was promoted to Associate Publisher in the Spring of 2023. Since joining the company, she has been an integral source of support to the medical publishing team. Taylor expanded her knowledge in publishing by shadowing senior publishers and attending the Society of Scholarly Publishing national and regional events. Taylor currently manages WK’s Cardiology, Pharmacology, and Ophthalmology portfolios and has engaged in editorial and strategic planning meetings. Taylor received WK’s HEROES Award in recognition of her excellent work ethic. Taylor Walker is currently based in Baltimore, MD, and enjoys being creative through DIY crafting, blogging, drawing, and spending time with her son.

Natalie Weaver, Marketing Manager, Kogan Page Publishers
Natalie Weaver is Marketing Manager, North America, at Kogan Page, Inc., where she leads the New York office’s marketing team.  In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans for the professional, academic, and trade publications in the US and Canada, with a focus on fostering company-wide collaboration, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market presence.
