“If the Sky’s the Limit, Are You Ready on the Ground?”
Thursday, November 14 | 2:40 PM – 3:20 PM

In recent years, libraries have faced rapid and profound shifts in technology, access models, and policies. Decisions made by funders, government agencies, and tech companies are poised to significantly impact library operations. Similarly, demands by administrators, researchers, and students are requiring expansion in services the library needs to provide. Are you prepared for the consequences of these changes?

Join the SSP Scholarly Kitchen Chefs to discuss how libraries might plan for change. Panelists will consider topics, including:

  • Addressing compliance issues stemming from transformative agreements
  • Strategies for maintaining and enhancing open data repositories
  • Impact of user access with new privacy policies
  • Gain practical insights to help ensure your library is ready.

Speakers:

  • Todd Carpenter, Executive Director, National Information Standards Organization (NISO)
  • Lettie Conrad, Product Experience Architect, LibLynx
  • Emily Gore, Deputy University Librarian, University of Georgia
  • Alice Meadows, Co-founder, MoreBrains
