Early Career Community of Interest Meeting | How Do Professional Awards Work?

The next Early Career Professionals Community of Interest Network meeting will be Friday, September 13th at 12pm ET. John Warren, Director of the Graduate Program in Publishing at George Washington University and an active SSP member and volunteer, will join us to talk about the program and professional awards in the industry.

What types of awards are available in scholarly publishing? Why should I nominate someone for an award? How do I nominate someone for an award? Can I nominate myself? These questions and more will be answered.

Become a member of the Early Career Professionals Community of Interest Network to participate! This group provides a space for individuals new to the publishing field to network, connect, learn, and grow. During monthly virtual meetups amongst participants for general networking or focused educational topics, we will encourage questions/engagement and allow attendees to chat.
