SSP's blog, The Scholarly Kitchen, welcomes two new contributors: Howard Ratner from Nature Publishing Group and Phil Davis from Cornell.

Howard Ratner is Chief Technology and EVP for the Nature Publishing Group. He's well known as an innovative and insightful thinker about trends in scholarly publishing.

Phil Davis is a self-described "PhD student (and recovering Science librarian)" from Cornell University.

The Scholarly Kitchen is updated every workday with new information about research, trends, and news in scholarly publishing. You can sign up for an e-mail alert when new content is published, and an RSS feed is available. Commenting, a Twitter feed, and other tools are also being used to enhance the interactivity of the information.

Since its inception in March, there have been more than 90 posts on The Scholarly Kitchen. Signature posts include entries on the "crisis" enveloping scholarly publishing, short attention span publishing, and why 1/4 of users can't Google.
