The Client Development Manager is responsible for:

 

  • Identifying and developing relationships with new potential customers.
  • Determining and understanding individual prospective customer’s unique situations and requirements (no two sales are identical).
  • Developing diverse strategies for initiating, conducting and concluding complex “system” sales.
  • Providing detailed demonstrations of Aries’ workflow software.
  • Negotiating and closing agreements.
  • Recording sales prospecting activities in CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Providing feedback to product management and customer service teams.
  • Participating in tradeshows and conferences.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-organized and disciplined work style.
  • High energy, curiosity, enthusiasm and sense of humor.
  • At least 2 years of exposure to scholarly publishing environment.

 

The Client Development Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is based in the company headquarters in North Andover, MA. The position requires 30-50% travel (mostly US East Coast).
