What is IN 2011:
Organizations operate today in a world of hyper-dynamic change. Technological advances and shifts in global economic power are rapidly spawning new content creators, products, and consumers, which dramatically shift roles in the scholarly publishing ecosystem. This environment presents new challenges to publishers, societies, and intermediaries, whose value propositions are changing and who now must contend with new sources of competition for information and services.
Succeeding in the new environment requires that organizations retool and develop strategies and tactics that will help them surmount challenges and break down conventional conceptions and silos that still exist within most organizations.
The 2011 SSP IN Conference will take an INteractive approach to laser in on three critical themes -- Globalization, Innovation and Collaboration. Together, we will work through well-developed industry case studies and exercises, with industry experts delivering key learning objectives. Your participation in the IN meeting will help you navigate through these three big INtertwining issues. You will be able to use your own experiences as well as those of key peers to address these three big challenges. You will leave IN 2011 with an increased understanding of our changing environment and tool kit to help take your organization successfully into the future.
